Message from the CEO

AntonovThe Beijing Auto Show once again showed the rapid changes in the automotove industry in China. In addition to the expanding vehicle ranges from established local brands such as Chery and Great Wall, many new brands are launching mid sized cars such as JAC, BYD and Hafei. As expected, there was strong interest in our new transmission and we are setting up initial demonstrations in June and July. These will use the 1.6l demonstration vehicles currently in development in Warwick. John Moore, CEO - Antonov plc 24 April 2008

Change of registered address and solicitors

As part of the restructuring of the company we have been making some minor administrative changes that you will notice being implemented. Firstly we have moved the company registered address to our new Warwick Technical Centre and secondly we have changed our company solicitors from Halliwells in Manchester to Pinsent Masons in Birmingham. Halliwells have served the Company well for many years and we would like to thank them for their support. The decision to move was not taken lightly but the combination of geography and Pinsent Masons' strong Chinese practice were the deciding factors.

Antonov Sponsorship 2007/8

GT1 2008Antonov actively supports three motorsport teams, A1GP Team Netherlands and the Lamborghini GT1 and GT3 Reiter Racing teams. The A1GP season has now finished but we plan to continue the sponsorship in the autumn.

About Us

AntonovAntonov plc is a business founded on the patented inventions of Roumen Antonov.

It was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 1995 and the Amsterdam Stock Exchange in 1997.

Since then it has invested more than £30 million in research, product development and continuing innovation to bring its inventions to market by licensing them to customers.

The intellectual property assets of the business are focused on the automotive market, but will also be used in other industrial and leisure applications.

The Group has a strong R&D facility in Warwick, UK, which designs, prototypes and develops all types of mechanical transmissions.

Antonov manufactures superchargers for high performance aftermarket applications and is developing new products based on its patented 2 speed mechanical shift module.

It is also developing a passenger car 6 speed transmission for production in China. This will offer low volume vehicle makers the opportunity to provide a cost effective, world class automatic transmission option on their vehicles.

In conjunction these product development activities, Antonov licences its technologies. To support these technology licences we provide design, analysis and development support to our clients from our Warwick Technical centre throughout the product development process.
